Organized into four parts, the publication presents a comprehensive view of Lisbon and Coimbra at the time of Saint Anthony, the typically Portuguese iconography as he was represented as a choirboy (student at the Lisbon cathedral school) and canon regular of Saint Augustine, as well as the many legends associated with his Portuguese experience.
